Wed 4th Jul 2018 : Brilliant Bushcraft Adventure for Years 3 & 4
Living in the wild, sleeping under canvas and cooking over open fires, our Year 3 & 4s have had a wonderful few days experiencing the joys of the great outdoors.
The children took part in our annual Bushcraft adventure, a residential two night trip in beautiful forest land near Penshurst, last weekend.
Just a few of the activities our intrepid Bushcrafters enjoyed were shelter-building, wilderness cookery, whittling, making survival bracelets and learning about camouflaging.
A Bushcraft Company team member said, "The range of activities are designed to enhance social and personal development, whilst having fun and learning new skills."
Miss Peace, Year 3 teacher, said, "The children had an absolutely fantastic time on their Bushcraft adventure. By the end they were all very filthy but very happy children!"
Pupil Lily, was so inspired by the experience she has written a poem about it (see below). It sounds like she thoroughly enjoyed becoming a fully-fledge Bushcrafter!
