Wed 13th Jun 2018 : Daddies Welcomed by Early Years for Special Morning
Our playground, outdoor classroom and field were buzzing with activity as our Early Years welcomed their fathers for our annual Daddies' Morning.
It was lovely to see the Dads immersed in building models, painting, reading stories, blowing bubbles and playing football with their children. The Dads also seemed to be thoroughly enjoying our wooden play blocks donated by Friends of The Mead and we saw several very impressive constructions as the result of some great Daddy and son/daughter teamwork!
The Kindergarten, Pre-Reception and Reception children were clearly absolutely delighted to have their Daddies at school for some special one-on-one time together - although we're not sure who was having the most fun the youngsters or their Dads!
Our annual Daddies' Mornings provide our Early Years fathers with the opportunity to experience what life is like for their children here at school as this may not be part of the normal routine for many of them.
After enjoying the activities outside our special guests enjoyed a coffee and a croissant together - a great chance for the Dads to get to know each other a little better (Daddies' Mornings have been known to result in a Dads' Night Out or two!).
A huge thanks to all the Daddies who came along to join us and to our fantastic Early Years staff for organising such an enjoyable morning.
