Tue 12th Jun 2018 : Mead Moonlight Walkers Raise Funds for Local Hospice
A team of 18 current and former staff and friends took part in the Hospice in The Weald Moonlight Walk on Saturday to raise funds for the local charity.
The charity is close to many of the staff's hearts as former Mead parent Clare (mother of ex-Meadite Jess) is currently being cared for by the Hospice after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (the full story is featured in the Spring edition of the Hospice in The Weald newsletter).
Our Moonlight Walkers met Tunbridge Wells Mayor Len Horwood before setting off on the eight mile hike through Knole Park in Sevenoaks.
The Hospice in The Weald provides care free of charge to patients with a terminal illness as well as supporting the families and carers in West Kent and Northern East Sussex.
Well done to our team and a huge thanks to all those who have supported them with a donation. We still have a donation bucket in reception for anyone who would like to add to the funds and we'll keep you posted as to how much the Mead Moonlight Walkers raised soon.
