Children are our future and the world will be theirs. The Mead children grow up learning to respect and cherish a sustainable environment.
Angela Culley, Headmistress
We are so lucky! The Mead’s position just 300 metres from the historic heart of Tunbridge Wells enables us to fully enjoy and utilise all our town and its wider environment has to offer.
We worship at King Charles the Martyr, the oldest church in town, study the local history and geography, celebrate Prizegiving and our whole school Summer Show on the professional stage at the Trinity Arts Centre, play tennis at the Neville, are successful contenders at the annual Tag Rugby Festival and swim all year round at Freedom Leisure, Crowborough.
The choir regularly entertain and sing at local venues and all through the year Mead children can be seen ‘out and about’ thereby using their environment to broaden their horizons and thereby become life long learners.
Using both the local and wider environment as a teaching resource is considered an invaluable learning experience and outings linked to the learning programme are organised on a regular basis.
Moving to Tunbridge Wells?
We are finding more and more parents are planning to move into the area and seeking our advice on the best companies to speak to in this regard. Below are some links to local and national companies which parents at the school have used in the past.
