Parents are extremely happy with all aspects of the school, particularly appreciating the progress made by their children, the high standards of care and the good range of extra-curricular activities that enrich curriculum.

The Mead offer an enormous range of clubs for Junior children (Key Stage Two), which run both after school and during the lunch breaks.
Any child who stays for a club is served tea (such as fresh filled sandwiches, soup or cheese and crackers), fruit and a drink at 4.00pm before commencing their club at 4.30pm. Clubs finish at 5.25pm ready for collection at 5.30pm.
We strongly encourage all Junior pupils to attend at least two clubs each week; there really is something for everyone – we do have some children who stay every night!
Examples of Key Stage 2 after school clubs regularly on offer at The Mead are:
Cookery, Cricket, Ballet, Modern & Tap, LAMDA, Choir, Orchestra, Basketball, Astro Games, Girls Football, Boys Football, Art, Manga Art, Gymnastics & Cheerleading, Nature, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths), Judo, Ball Sports and Chess, Sewing, Rugby, Batik, Construction, Eco, Rollerblading, Poetry and Mosaics.
Key Stage One
Key Stage One (Years One and Two) children have their own after school club know as 'The Number One Club'. This is run by KS1 staff and has organised activities and homework provision. children requiring wrap around care until 6.00 pm join Munch Bunch at 5.30 pm.
KS1 activities/clubs include:
Tap & Modern, Ballet, Choir
This is fully supervised Early Years wrap around care held in the Kindergarten between 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm
Runs in the Dining Room between 7.40 am and 8.30 am. Fully supervised and run by the Catering staff, this is a very social and nutritious start to the day. Children can choose from a range of cereals, fresh porridge, fresh fruit, toast, yoghurts, fruit juice or milk and in the Winter hot chocolate. We have even been known to have hot croissants or pain au chocolat!
